English at South River


South River’s English Department is very proud of its wide variety of classes. Aside from the four required courses, the English department has numerous electives, ranging from literary magazine to theater. The English Department’s teachers are dedicated to reaching each and every one of South River’s students during their four-year stay.

Here are the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place Poetry Outloud winners for 2011  for South River High School. This was our fifth annual contest.
The  top  Poetry Outloud student goes on to compete at the county level.
