Students will learn the fundamentals of drawing and painting with a focus on working from direct observation.  They will become familiar with a variety of painting and drawing materials. 

            Students will be introduced to the history of art and become familiar with artwork from prehistoric art to current movements and trends. This is a great background for AP Art History.  Students can enroll in this course in their junior and senior year.
