The Advanced Placement Studio Art course is a college-level course in the visual arts. Each student is offered a college level curriculum in the high school environment. Students are expected to complete a minimum of 40 works of art in a variety of media, techniques, and subject matter. The Emphasis is place on drawing form observation; the application of color and design principles; the development of a body of work of the students choosing; recognition of the history of art, and its role in the development of visual ideas; and the application of the critique process in written and oral form.
