CAB Meeting
We are excited about embarking on the 2011-2012 school year and have a full slate of projects and initiatives on our agenda. Congratulations to the new board leadership for the 2011-2012 school year.
The SRHS Community Advisory Board meets every third Tuesday of the month at 7:30 am in the SRHS Media Center. Our next meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 21st at 7:30 am. Whether you are a parent, alumni or just an invested member of the community, we welcome anyone interested in supporting SRHS and invite you to join us on our endeavor to create strong bonds between our school and our community in support of our exceptional students. CAB Donates Books to Leadership Class
Our mission, as a network of school, business, and community leaders, is to form partnerships between the school and the community to identify and obtain resources to compliment and support the ongoing curricula, faculty, and facilities. Our enduring goal is to enhance each student’s potential for future success.
Since its inception in 2008, the Community Advisory Board and has implemented projects that will enhance student learning and support the faculty at South River. The CAB has conducted Mock Interviews, Job Shadowing, Internships, Guest Speakers, Environmental Programs, and provided the Leadership classes with their supplementary text, to name a few of the projects they participate in. In the current year the CAB has taken on two large endeavors for the students and the Media Center is their largest project.
