CRASC
The school SGA is represented in CRASC, the Chesapeake Regional Association of Student Councils. Find out more about this organization at its official website.
In 2004-2005
South River’s SGA was awarded the Felix Simon award for excellence in Leadership and Service. This was the one of only four awards presented to student government associations who showed exceptional leadership and service to their school and community. There are over 300 schools that are eligible for this award and South River was only four to receive this high honor.
Our Congratulations go out to Mr. Doug Brown who was the named the Maryland Association of Student Councils’ Advisor of the Year. This is the highest honor that is given to an SGA advisor in the state of Maryland. Each member district of MASC (24 in all) is allowed to submit one nominee for their region, and Mr. Brown was the Chesapeake Regional Association of Student Councils (CRASC) nominee.
