Bus Schedules for South River High School can be found HERE
.
Additional Bus Information:
Unlike the middle and elementary schools, there is no after-school activity bus for high school students. However, the Anne Arundel County Public Schools System is required to provide transportation for students who attend South River as part of the Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) Magnet Program. These students stay after the regular school day has closed in order to participate in STEM mandated activities or courses.
The after-school STEM buses run ONLY on Tuesday and Thursday and do not leave the school grounds until 4:00pm. They stop only at designated locations, such as schools or libraries, and will not drop students at their homes (**see notation below).
Students who not part of STEM program are sometimes permitted to ride the bus after school, with permission, and on a limited basis.
After School STEM Bus Use by Non-STEM Students
In order to get permission to ride a STEM after-school bus, students MUST:
- see Ms. Jentilet, in the main office, to get a Bus Request Form to be completed by the teacher or sponsor of the after-school activity;
- return the completed Bus Request Form to Ms. Jentilet prior to the regular dismissal time on the day the bus is needed;
- be issued a Bus Pass with the student’s name and the appropriate bus number on it;
- go to Welcome Desk before 4:00pm and show the person on desk-duty the Bus Pass, so it can be cross-referenced with the list of permitted riders;
- report to the bus by 4:00pm and show the bus driver the pass.
