PSAT / National Merit Scholarship

The Preliminary SAT®/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) is a standardized test that provides firsthand practice for the SAT Reasoning Test™ and is co-sponsored by the College Board and National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC). The PSAT/NMSQT is designed to measure critical reading, math problem solving, and writing skills which are important to student success in college.
2011 PSAT Test Date: Wednesday, October 12
Results of the 2011 PSAT will be returned to students the first week of February, 2012.

National Merit Scholarship Program
The National Merit® Scholarship Program is an academic competition for recognition and scholarships. Students enter the National Merit Program by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®) in their third year of high school and by meeting all other published requirements.
