Advanced Placement Exams

Advanced Placement (AP) courses help students acquire skills and habits needed to be successful in college.  Students can improve writing skills, sharpen problem-solving abilities, and develop time management, discipline, and study habits.  More than 90 percent of four-year colleges in the United States and colleges in more than 60 other countries give students credit, advanced placement or both on the basis of AP Exam scores.

Registration deadline for AP Exams March 21, 2014.

The fee is $89, payable by cash or check (payable to SRHS).  The Anne Arundel County Board of Education may offer a multiple exam discount for families paying for four or more exams.  Contact the school test coordinator for more details.

In an attempt to create a test environment free of distractions, most Advanced Placement Exams may be held off site, at Riva Trace Baptist Church (475 West Central Avenue, Davidsonville, MD 21035.)

Please see the AP Exam Parent Information Letter for details.  Additional forms for registration, attendance, and exam requirements are listed below.
